The poem about the ancient mariner doesn’t refer to well leaks but the “water water everywhere” certainly can apply. Recently our well head reached beyond its original life expectancy and, with lots of work (and expense), it was successfully replaced, giving us water at a time when the local city water went out. Then another problem came to light. Or…specifically “to wet”. Happy grass. Deliriously happy grass fed by a not small flow of water from the well valve box which now resembled an overflowing bathtub. In a moderate drought period, animals and plants love this. We weren’t as thrilled but we weren’t surprised either. Monasteries and water/plumbing problems fit hand in glove.
And those problems always let God’s Providence shine. It may not seem as miraculous as Moses striking the rock in the desert, but we know Our Father has it all in hand. We need only trust and remain joyful watching it all play out. We thank you for your prayers and your support that allows us to get these things fixed. You are part of God’s Providence!
