A Special Species Shout Out: FREE KITTENS! (And some feline poetry)

A HandmaidNews

Mommy Panther…before she was a mommy.

A dear friend and benefactor of our community has a beautiful little rescued black cat with gorgeous eyes that’s in an awkward situation after some unexpected forays outside even while spaying was on the schedule. And there are KITTEN PHOTOS! We present the story as a limerick, kinda:

There once was a tiny black cat

With stunning yellow eyes that glowed as she sat.

Saved from the street and especially neat,

A purr and a glance for all she would meet.

Life indoors was marvelous but a bit of a bore,

And her small, lithe frame could get out the door.

How else to explain Litter Number One

But that she escaped to the outdoor sun?

A trip to the vet would fix that A. S. A. P.

After she weaned each black or striped kitty.

No sooner were they off to their happy new homes

But the black vixen escaped once again her own.

And that explains Litter Number Two, that after kittens of four,

she HAD to have MORE?

Now five arrived to the happy panther mom

Who seemed to explode with another kitten bomb.

Three panther black and two racing stripe grey

Would all need to be given away.

It’s not all that bad as one has been claimed

Thus, only four need to be re-homed and re-named!

Weeks of growing and weaning are nigh,

We beg a prayer that mom will stay inside.

We want all parties to be as blessed as they can be

But we really really want to avoid Litter Number Three.

You may email us if you are interested in any of the remaining kittens (2 black, 2 grey tiger striped)
