Until we raise up Holy Family Building, a lot of our religious devotionals like art prints and statues of various sizes remain in storage. We likely won’t find their ‘final’ homes until after construction is finished yet, in hope and some growing excitement, we are preparing. When we were just doing some survey work on the site where Holy Family Building will be added onto Cor Jesu, we got out an outdoor Holy Family statue set and placed it prominently off the porch in anticipation of the day Holy Family Building becomes a reality.
In the same spirit, during the month devoted to the Sacred Heart, we pulled out an outdoor statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus that had been at our Priory in Capena, Italy for years. It was a gift given by Joseph Monaco in memory of Katherine Monaco Sullivan. Since our move east from New Mexico, and then again to New Market, it has been carefully wrapped up. Now the statue is waiting on our porch for further unwrapping, examination, possibly repainting, and then temporary placement so we can honor the Sacred Heart until he chooses his final location after construction ends.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, We Place Our Trust In Thee!
