Though we have held off on decorating, the cleaning has begun and the requisite baking so it’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas! Our Come and See, Sarah, has rolled up her sleeves and joined the formation group under Sister Christiana’s supervision to rollout lots of sugar cookies. Novice Sister Maria Crucis and Postulant Shannon all enjoyed the double duty (it had to be done simultaneous to the regular meal preparations) in the kitchen and everyone in the monastery enjoyed the smells wafting about. It smelled like “YUM!”
- Rolling out the sugar cookie dough and cutting out (and creating) shapes
- Novice and Come and See have a blast playing with the dough
- It smells like “Yum!”
- Some inspirational creativity…NOT for liturgical use!
- See? They even look like “YUM!”
- Rev. Mother enjoys stopping by to see the ‘sweet’ progress of the Christmas cookie project.
- If you look closely you might notice a stocking cookie that looks more like Mary kneeling over a manger.
- A little bit of art for Our Lady.
- Even our Christmas cookies can be Eucharistic!
