A Long Way From Labouré

A HandmaidHPB Vocations, News

Smiling sister returns wondering what her new name and title will be.

Our newest Novice is Labouré alum Chrissy Tworek. While it seems a long way from Labouré, she remains ever thankful, as is the entire Community of the Handmaids of the Precious Blood, to the Society’s important work of tackling, in a holy way, the obstacles of student debt that hold back many religious and priestly vocations. It is no handout and requires commitment and very hard, but fruitful, work. Chrissy persevered and through the Labouré society was able to finally enter to continue discerning her religious vocation with our Institute. Now, we rejoice with her as she enters Novitiate, finally dons the habit, and receives her name in religious life. She is now Sister Thérèse Bernadette of the Most Tender and Compassionate Heart with a Feast Day of October 1st in honor of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus.

Bound for East Tennessee in the near future! Deo Gratias!

From Chrissy to Sister Thérèse Bernadette, but with the same gratitude to the Labouré Society for helping her pursue Jesus with all her heart.
