Without much irony, God’s Providence has given us another cross at a time when the world is feeling the weight of the cross of the COVID pandemic. This one however, is a simple wooden one, placed just east of the Mary, Mother of Priests Tribute Garden. Just about a week before Good Friday this cross was placed in the ground in anticipation of the violet draping to mark Holy Week and, in great longing and eagerness, the white draping that will follow after the Resurrection to mark the beautiful Easter Season and Christ’s ultimate victory over death.
This is why we love having crosses around the property. They are signs of life. Eternal life and the price it cost Our Lord to obtain it.
