It Has Been QUITE a Year and Thus Also a QUIET One!

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 changed almost everything! While for us, already cloistered, quarantine didn’t have as much impact, it did have an impact. We had several inquirers asking about vocational visits which had to be delayed until ‘things opened up a bit’ and even then, under very different circumstances than we were used to. But God provided and we happily welcome three Aspirants: Maria, Renae and Chrissy. Deo Gratias! We face 2021 with the same confidence in God that He is Everything we need.

Brother Gunther welcomes Sister Gertrude

In November we were blessed to bring home a seven month old kitten named Gertrude (after Saint Gertrude of Nivelles, patron saint of cats and cat lovers). Though young, she shows great promise in mousing and is already ‘in training’ for squirrel deterrence. She is a “Dilute Tortie” cat of sweet and playful disposition.

Look out, house-eating rodents!

FIVE YEARS IN NEW MARKET ALREADY!

A LOT of work moving in, repairing, renovating, and planning for the future. Thank you to everyone who has made it possible to settle in here. Now, we ask your prayers and support as we face God’s plans for the next stage of our settlement: vocations and building a place to put them. We are praying the Litany of Saint Joseph daily to help us with these needs.
