Holy Family Building
Our 4 reasons for building Holy Family:
To Pray, To Grow, To Form, To Heal- To Pray - we have outgrown the Chapel we renovated when we moved to New Market in July 2015; we need space to accommodate all the Sisters and some guests.
- To Grow - we are in need of a two-floor dormitory that will house all professed Sisters and that would allow us to reside in community in the tradition of the Church. We are living in three separate buildings, Cor Jesu, Mater Dei and St Joseph. The nuns need to be together in one building. Our plan is to repurpose Mater Dei as our Novitiate for our new Sisters, presently, some professed Sisters are living there.
- To Form - our new Sisters are currently living in St. Joseph’s which will only accommodate 2 people and we have 3 Sisters living there right now. As we grow this location is quickly becoming too small. In repurposing Mater Dei as our Novitiate it would allow us to accommodate and form our new Sisters.
- To Heal - we do not have an infirmary for our Sisters who are ill or infirmed. We need a place where our Sisters who have special needs because of age or illness can reside. A floor would be built to accommodate their needs.
