Priest Garden in Lenten Colors

Violet Draping on Cross after Ash Wednesday

Winter is coming to an end and we have passed the halfway mark of the season of Lent and the Mary Mother of Priests Garden reflects that. As the warmth comes and plants come alive again in Spring, violet drapes the Cross reminding us of the time of penance, prayer, almsgiving and fasting. Soon, we will mark Passion tide. Already trees bloom with white and pink and yellow as if leaning toward Easter eagerly. But for now, we stay in the desert and pray.

Don’t forget to pray for your priests as they face another Holy Week amid pandemic.
