Our Next Priest Chalkboard Diocese

A Handmaid Priests

December 7th, 2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, HI that brought the U.S. into WWII. Once again, this brings to mind the troops that have served and still serve our nation. Throughout our country’s history, Catholic priests have served our military personnel, often serving alongside them and sharing their life and hardships.

We have been privileged to spend the month of November and into December praying in a special way for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. While we couldn’t list all their names, they were never out of our prayers for their safety and sanctification. We wanted to keep the chaplain corps branch images up on the priests chalkboard through Pearl Harbor Day remembering some of the many saintly and heroic priests from the past like Father Francis Duffy (WWI), Father Aloysius Schmitt (WWII), Father Emil Kapaun (Korea), Father Vincent Capodanno (Vietnam), and Father Tim Vakoc (Iraq) and many more. We are grateful for these priests as well as those they serve.

Our next Diocese will be the Diocese of Cheyenne, WY.
