Moving On To Nashville

A Handmaid News, Priests

What?! The Handmaids are moving to Nashville? No. Moving the Motherhouse twice was enough excitement for centuries and we aren’t finished yet settling here in the Diocese of Knoxville. What we mean by ‘moving on to Nashville’ is that our practice of placing priests’ names on our refectory chalkboard each week, now that we have gone through the roster of Knoxville priests, will move on to Nashville priests.

As we shift the weekly list a little bit to our west, so to speak, we simultaneously welcome an additional priest to Knoxville. The very week this photo was taken with Bishop Stika posing by his name on our board, Father Ron Stone arrived on his one year sabbatical from the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. Among his duties, he will say Mass for us as our resident chaplain and we are grateful for both him and Bishop Stika.
