This week, on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we mark our fifth anniversary of arriving in New Market, TN. It has been a busy and fast five years repairing and renovating the buildings to ‘monasticize’ them, adding other structures, building a road, starting the Mary, Mother of Priests Garden, and a host of other milestones along the way.
We send a heartfelt thank you once again to all our friends and benefactors, known and unknown, who made this possible. A special note of gratitude to all those who personally pledged some significant ‘sweat equity’ on that hot July day five years ago to pack up a community of nuns out of four structures/storage areas into three vans and multiple cars and then unpack them at night into 3 different buildings.
In many many ways 2020 is not anything like 2015 and in ways no one in the world could have anticipated. Though the pandemic and unrest still rage across the planet, we can still say that this hasn’t changed:
Providence Did Provide.
Providence Can Provide.
Providence Will Provide.
God bless all who have been small or large instruments in that hand of providence. Mass will be offered for you in our Mass chapel on July 16, 2020. While our chapel is not open for public Mass, we tuck each of you into our hearts and prayers, and place all your needs and intentions into the Chalice and Paten. Thank you again and we love y’all!
