Unlike most cats, Gunther has the run of a very large building, a large cabin or lodge in the East Tennessee woods. The interior is a cat’s paradise when it comes to finding nooks and crannies to snooze in or hide in. In this photo he has chosen to hide just behind a bench in the library office area overlooking the refectory. Since his nose is low, he seems to think the rest of him is invisible. It usually is when this Russian Blue lurks in the library stacks and vanishes among the books. But in this case, the contrast is sharp.
If he ever is truly missing, like most cats, all we have to do is offer to feed him and he appears out of nowhere.
